摘要
The Being Here Programme developed and tested new healthcare delivery models to increase service sustainability and community resilience in remote and rural areas. Given the difficulty recruiting and retaining health professionals, the Programme looked at ways of re-organising primary care to combat professional isolation and foster multi-disciplinary team working. Inspired by the Alaskan Nuka system of care, four new community support workers were trained in routine tasks such as changing dressings, taking blood and home care duties.
