摘要
This article returns to my PhD thesis, where I studied the significance of the Trivulzio Chapel and noble patronage during French Milan. Here, an extended chronological period allowed me to publish research on the chapel under Spanish occupation, and in particular during the episcopate of Cardinal Charles Borromeo. The chapter shows that the chapel remained a site of political tension for Milan’s rulers, and this was only solved by its effective deconsecration.
