Description of project aims
The project is an interdisciplinary partnership between colleagues at the University of Stirling, University of the Highlands and Islands, and Glasgow School of Art that seeks to transform how people learn about heritage and culture. This project seeks to question how and why people engage with the past as we move towards a digital future, how we can harness the technologies of the future to connect an increasingly digital community to their past, and explore the transformative nature of collaborative community-led heritage projects. For this purpose it will explore how a new cross-disciplinary methodology can be developed to deliver visualisation of buildings, people, artefacts and events focused on the ‘lost’ Carthusian Charterhouse of Perth as a case study.
