This project investigates the conversion of sewage sludge into biochar for sustainable phosphorus recovery from wastewater. The feasibility study evaluates biochar production, its performance as a filtration material for capturing phosphorus and the potential reuse of phosphorus-enriched biochar as a soil amendment or fertiliser. The research combines wastewater treatment, waste valorisation and nutrient recovery while assessing environmental safety and toxicity for future agricultural applications.
