: a qualitative study

  • Alison Keir

Tese do aluno: Doctor of Philosophy (awarded by OU/Aberdeen)

Resumo

In the last twenty years community archaeology has entered mainstream archaeological theory and practice in the UK, however despite growth and development in this field there has been a dearth of research into the impact and value it has. This research has addressed this situation by exploring the impact and value of community archaeology with a particular focus on the themes of heritage management and sustainable development. To achieve this, an in-depth qualitative assessment of three community archaeology projects located in Orkney, Shetland and Uist was conducted.
