Resumo
This was the 4th year of artist commissions by National Trust for Scotland. The commission created a 1.5km long public night trail through the Brodie Castle Estate running through the month of November.
The project involved creative lighting of specimin trees and bushes, along with 10 separate projection installations. This included large scale projection onto 4 facades of Brodie Castle featuring an animated fantasy about two metal unicorn sculptures from the Playful Garden at Brodie Castle, coming alive at night and taking a dreamlike exploration of the gardens and castle.
The event attracted a paying audience of 8,581 visitors over the course of the month. This represented a 52% increase over the previous year. The event has become an important annual income stream for the NTS team and, for several years, has allowed them to extend the contracts of several seasonal staff into the late autumn and early winter period.
