Resumo

Activism is a political term related to direct action that-to achieve social or political change. Whether staged by adults or by children, its meaning depends on context, reception and consciousness. It refers to the use of direct action, but the way children involve and function as activists usually depends on the dynamics intergenerational in societies, communities and families. The way in which child activists are seen, can therefore depend on whether they are together with parents or other adults in the community, or whether they are activists while groups of young people or social movements led by children / young. In this sense, the research demonstrates that the spaces for-children are limited in many global contexts. (also suggested by Thomas, 2009).Historically, activism has focused on issues of public. To draw attention to invisible or hidden issues, such as domestic violence and bullying, or to increase awareness and action on issues affecting the community as a whole, such as peace, resistance in conflict or reconstruction after environmental disasters or disaster. The term is also associated with empowerment. This includes consider whether children or young people have a say, whether they are heard and authorized / encouraged to participate in decision-making and actions that affect their lives (Lundy, 2007; Johnson & Lewin 2020)
