Resumo
Identifying turbulent flame topologies for unambiguous determination
of key flame quantities is a challenging task for high
Karlovitz number conditions in which different scalar variables
exhibit drastically distinct characteristics. The present study
explores a unified way to characterize the flame topologies
and its important observable quantities by the identification
of representative dynamical features using the computational
singular perturbation (CSP) technique. Various algorithmic tools
of CSP are applied on DNS datasets of turbulent premixed
hydrogen/air flames at different combustion regimes and the
results are compared with conventional flame analysis tools.
