Research Expertise

I am a sea-going physical oceanographer and interested in the variability of the oceans on seasonal and longer time scales. My current research focuses on the large-scale ocean circulation in the Atlantic Ocean and its role in the climate system. I enjoy presenting my research to both scientific and non-scientific audiences. I love turning ideas into reality. It is important for me to pursue ideas of sustainability in line with net-zero carbon emission ambitions.

AtlantiS - Atlantic Climate and Environment Strategic Science.

Work package lead WP1.1.1 Ellet Array. Lead cruises for mooring maintenance and manage dataset publication including transports estimation of the North Atlantic Current utilizing moored and glider observations. Funded by NERC. (since April 2024)

ODISSEA - Ocean Dynamics Impacting Shelf Sea Level in Eastern Atlantic.

Lead WP1 Targeted observation in the Rockall Trough. Funded by NERC. (since Nov 2023)

Oi - Sustaining Subpolar North Atlantic Basin-Wide Observations of the Strength and Structure of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation.

Lead postdoc. Funded by NERC. (since Oct 2022)
