Beneath the Waters of Time was a seminar over 4 days in Sanday on the topic of historic shipwrecks and what we can learn about the shipwreck which was found in Sanday in February 2024. "Shipwreck Tales in Orcadian Origin Legends" was Ragnhild Ljosland's contribution to this seminar, sharing results from the project Vikings, Pirates, and Shipwrecked Princesses on Orcadian origin tales and the light they shed on identity. The talk focused specifically on the part of the material which concerns family origin legends involving a shipwreck.
