Description
As part of the 2014 bicentenary celebrations of the signing of the Norwegian constitution, this project originated with an invitation by the Norwegian Coastal Federation (Forbundet Kysten) 'Oar Project' to install 200 rowing oars from across the Norwegian coastal region at a Maritime Festival in Oslo in summer 2014. The Centre for Nordic Studies, in collaboration with Shetland College UHI, the Anderson High School and the Shetland Islands Council Global Citizenship department, initiated a project to build a traditional Shetland Oar for this display. The project was then presented as a case study at the University of the Highlands and Island Research Conference in November 2014.| Período | 30 abr. 2014 → 10 jul. 2014 |
