Abstract

Chapter 2 (The Adaptable Graduate) sees the authors question the sort of transferable skills and attributes that are needed for adaptability. Drawing on a two-year-long case study in aeronautical engineering, the authors explore learning experiences that offer both ‘vertical progression’ (within discipline) and ‘horizontal progression’ (across disciplines) and argue that the coalescence of the two generates the Adaptable Graduate.
