C H A T T E R

C H A T T E R (2015) is inspired by the calling songs of the Tibicina cicada species during August in the coastal Var region of Southern France. The call, comprises sustained articulations in groups of 7-9 pulses. Within the maures, the cicada song echos and reverberates around the villa communities creating flocking antiphonal motions. Using the phonemes: k, h, ӕ, t, әr, s, i, d these motions are recreated and transformed.
