Description of project aims
Building on an ongoing working collaboration with Ola Gorie Jewellery (OGJ), we have initiated an innovative collaborative project to mitigate the dire effects that Covid-19 has had on the creative economy in Orkney, specifically Orkney's jewellery industry, and to make it more resilient to deal with future threats. As customers cannot currently visit Orkney, we have started a desk-based research and website re-design project designed to bring Orkney to them, wherever they are. This will be achieved through the creation of richly layered archaeological backstories on the re-designed OGJ website.
