Bridging Waters: Building a Scottish-Swedish One Health Partnership to tackle societal challenges around Sustainable Use of Drugs

Detalles del proyecto

Description of project aims

Our ambition is to establish a long-term collaboration between Uppsala University and the University of the Highlands and Islands to advance sustainable practices in the use of medicines. Through interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and cross-national engagement, this partnership will address One Health challenges arising from pharmaceutical pollution, water quality degradation, climate change, and the interconnected health of humans, animals, and ecosystems.

The project supports the formation of a strategic partnership focused on developing innovative, cross-national solutions to pharmaceutical pollution and sustainable healthcare, grounded in the One Health approach. By uniting our respective networks of collaborators and stakeholders, we aim to create a dynamic innovation network to identify, share, and implement best practices in pharmaceutical use and healthcare sustainability.
