Abstract
The research explores the importance of subjective analysis of qualitative data and the position of researcher on the construction of conclusions in an exploration of tales of the supernatural rooted in the landscapes of the Scottish Borders and Likhu 3, (Nepal). Tales of Borders is an exploration of the power of stories to connect people over borders of time and space.Engaging creatively with the research material Tales of Borders uses the medium of film to demonstrate the importance of imagery, symbolism, and connection to the landscape in the supernatural narratives of these two communities while inviting the audience to reflect on the symbolism of the imagery in the narratives of their own community.
