Abstract

4 x digital prints that are excerpts from the online dialogue with my designated partner in conversation, the Swiss performance artist Dorothea Rust, for the exhibition Hidden Flowers Bloom Most Beautifully. The project organisers for Hidden Flowers Bloom Most Beautifully describe the artefacts from the artists' dialogues for the project as an 'archive'. These prints were exhibited in the exhibitions Hidden Flowers Bloom Most Beautifully in Shetland and Switzerland.

Our conversation which took place online between April and July 2021 in a Padlet we created specially for the dialogue (https://padlet.com/roxane_permar/12iduinzs2utdwnn) has enriched, guided and inspired development of my work, Landscape in Pain, to the point that I feel it is a kind of collaboration. While the title, Landscape in Pain, pre-dates our dialogue, we quickly agreed to talk about the subject of pain. We have considered the idea of pain in relation to the land through writing and image making. For the exhibitions we prepared excerpts from the exchange that we made using Padlet.
