Abstract
An interdisciplinary project involving Visual Art, Creative Writing and Marine Sciences, exploring themes relating to marine science and environment.
The project involves a series of related outputs which include gallery exhibitions, performance, talks, workshops and journal papers.
The accumulation of this curated body of work forms the centre of a new publication, which takes the form of an artist¿s book - 'Things Unspoken, Things Unseen' - a two part publication with the artist Andrea Roe.
This publication brings together the visual imagery of my research and artworks in the form of sculpture, video and photography, alongside newly commissioned text from creative writers Janice Galloway, Spence, Professor Alan Spence, Robert Alan Jamieson, Jen Hadfield and marine biologist Prof Kate Darling.
My role in the project is as editor and contributor for the volume 'Things Unseen', initiating research and collaborations with the scientists and the group of creative writers.
