Abstract

This paper examines the impact of digital technology on the live sound sector and the educational and developmental challenges posed to sound systems technicians and engineers. The responses of a group of leading industry Audio operatives (n30) via an online questionnaire, outline the importance of understanding developing digital technologies. Findings also suggest that a more streamlined approach to the integration of industry and traditional providers of education could be a way to progress contemporary, innovative provision.
