Abstract
Recent developments and future prospects of the integration of biotechnology with computing and nano- and micro-electronics are discussed. The advances in biotechnology leads the development of innovative devices and biomolecules such as making electronic proteins. Scientists have used atomic force microscopes to manipulate and re-order the individual atoms of silicon wafer. The manipulation of the DNA allows to sequence and analyzed DNA on chip and perhaps in the long term, even synthesize custom drugs in the surgaery.
