Abstract
Andrew Paterson was key figure in photography from the early 1900s to the late 1940s in Inverness, Scotland. Lauded during his career, he is all but forgotten now. This paper sets out to redress that by showing his work in the context of photographic practice at the time and highlighting the development of his work as someone at the forefront of commercial portraiture.
