Abstract

Recent work on the Skara Brae collections held by Stromness Museum, Orkney, has led to the re discovery of a figurine from Skara Brae. The figurine had previously been known only through a brief mention by George Petrie in the
Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland (1867) and
a drawing among his papers in the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland manuscripts.
