Project Details
Description of project aims
This project investigates the development of a sustainable, modular wastewater treatment system combining carbon sequestration, resource recovery and waste valorisation. The approach integrates nutrient-adsorbing biochar from PyroYield Ltd. with SEM Ltd.’s DRAM filtration technology for metallic contaminant removal and recovery. ERI-UHI provides scientific and analytical expertise to optimise the system and support its future scale-up and regulatory development.
