Excavations at Anundshög, Sweden

Project Details

Description of project aims

This project involves excavations of the archaelogical site of Anundshög in Sweden. Our work has revealed a 200-meter-long wooden monument, enclosing parts of the site. In 2017-18, a 14th-century ‘assembly cottage’ was excavated, which is the earliest such building found archaeologically. Further work is planned for 2021-22.
