Research Expertise

I have more than 15 years experience in studying abundance, distribution and population dynamics of keystone inshore marine species and communities, particularly those with fisheries or commercial relevance. I have been involved with the Ecopath ecosystem modelling and have contributed to the development of two ecosystem models for the west coast of Scotland. 

I have been involved in teaching and administration of the BSc (Hons) Marine Science programme for over a decade and am currently module leader for first year Fundamentals of Marine Biology. I am also involved in the management of the programme and act as first year leader.
