Pauline Black is Assistant Principal at UHI Orkney. Formerly Head of Music and Senior Lecturer in Music Education at the School of Language, Literature, Music and Visual Culture, University of Aberdeen, she is also a part time PhD student at the Reid School of Music, University of Edinburgh. Her most recent publication is 'Jazz and improvising: experiences, attitudes and beliefs of United Kingdom (UK) secondary school music teachers: listening for gender'.
