Personal profile

Research Interests

I am a marine biologist who ventured into the worlds of physical oceanography and numerical modeling—drawn by curiosity and a love for connecting big-picture climate processes to what happens in our oceans.

My work bridges marine ecology, bio-oceanography, and physical oceanography, exploring how climate warming and large-scale atmospheric patterns influence sea ice loss, ocean circulation, and marine ecosystems in general.

I am particularly interested in understanding biophysical interactions driven by climate change in polar regions. Specific topics include the impact of large-scale atmospheric and ocean circulation changes on sea ice loss, marine primary producers, and the amount of dissolved oxygen and carbon in the ocean.
