Personal profile

Research Expertise

I am a benthic ecologist, and my current research focus is on developing photogrammetry and artificial intelligence methodologies to accurately measure and predict marine growth on offshore man-made structures.

Prior to working at SAMS I was based at Rothera research station with the British Antarctic Survey, researching seasonality and growth in shallow Antarctic benthos.

My PhD looked at bioerosion and carbonate budgets on Indonesian reefs and specifically how this was affected by reef degradation.
