Research Expertise

My primary role is the maintenance and subculture of sections of the protozoan and algal collection in the Culture Collection of Algae and Protozoa.

I am also involved in acquiring images of the collection for our database, cryopreservation, and the DNA sequencing of our holdings. I have a BSc in biological sciences from Napier University and worked as a fish health assistant at Landcatch before joining SAMS in 2007.
