Research Expertise

The principal focus of my research activity is on fisheries management, fisheries policy and associated issues, and their interactions with the fishing industry.

Other interests include the history of Shetland's fishing industry (to the present) and marine climate change in Shetland.

I have previously been involved in a wide range of applied fisheries-related projects, including fisheries data collection, gear trials and discard sampling.
