Gwen MacQuarrie

My main areas of expertise lie within the primary school sector, including: school management and Gaelic literacy resource creation and development. I am an experienced practitioner within all stages of pre-school and primary in Scotland using Curriculum for Excellence.

I currently lecture on BA (Urram) Gàidhlig & Foghlam | BA (Hons) Gaelic & Education at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and on the PGDE course with University of the Highlands and Islands. I also maintain social media for Teacher Education at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig https://linktr.ee/smoteagasg.

I am currently in the development stages of a new podcast about Gaelic medium education, Oideas.

I have interests in new learning technologies and digital literacies, particulary how they are and will continue to impact on language acquisition and online community development.   

I have research interests in immersion and language acquisition.
