David Paterson, Programme Leader for the BSc Audio Engineering, has a distinguished career in the music and media industries, working on albums, films, radio, and television. He has collaborated with members of the Smashing Pumpkins and Queens of the Stone Age, and engineered sessions for artists including Rufus Wainwright, Christina Aguilera, and Texas.
His work has received critical acclaim, including a Mercury Prize nomination and a British Blues Award. He spent seven years engineering BBC Radio One sessions for bands like Biffy Clyro and The Darkness, and has contributed to projects for Paramount, Universal Pictures, and UK television. Dave brings invaluable industry insight to his teaching.
