Research Expertise
I am a registered adult nurse with a range of interests relating to aspects of nurse education, including remote healthcare education access and experience. I also have interest in older people and more particular in the impact of sight and hearing impairment. Publications published in peer-reviewed journals cover:
- Remote healthcare access
- Nurse pedagogy including access to healthcare education for remote healthcare practitioners
- Sensory impairment
- Patient experiences
My methodological expertise is the design, implementation and evaluation of qualitative research including action research.
Teaching Expertise
I have held a number of education leadership positions, including lead for undergraduate, pre-registration nursing programmes and post graduate Masters programmes. My teaching expertise and contribution spans undergraduate nursing, post graduate programmes and clinical doctorate. I supervise PhD and clinical doctorate students and have acted as panel reviewer and external examiner for post graduate research students.
