    This approach reflects a core tenet of the Ocean Decade: for ocean science to be truly transformative, it must be inclusive and co-designed in a multistakeholder environment.
    This new guidance is tailored to Shetland’s unique marine environment and is designed to inform sustainable development, restoration and stewardship across local and national initiatives. Its success as an authentic and meaningful way to include community and citizen scientists in ocean restoration encourages other communities to use their plan as a template for their own coastal areas.
    It features:

    ✔️ Local case studies and scalable solutions
