Dunnet Head power failure leads to sustainable solution for Thurso researcher

A Thurso-based researcher has seen the light after a generator failure led to an unplanned switch to renewable power during a field trip to Dunnet Head.

It is believed to be the first time that portable solar power has been used to run radar equipment at the University of the Highlands and Islands.
