Activity: KE and Outreach activitiesTypes of Public engagement and outreach - Schools engagement

This was a school engagement for the whole cohort of Primary 3 at St Andrews Primary School in Orkney, as part of their Viking project. Ragnhild Ljosland presented an interactive learning experience where the pupils took part in a "thing" (Viking assembly) roleplay, learned about law and order in the Viking age, about everyday life among the Vikings, about Runic writing and objects with runes found in Orkney. They also created their own Runic inscriptions in clay.
