UNESCO Chair guidelines. The UNESCO Chair in the Protection of Human Rights Defenders and Expansion of Political Space, led by Professor Paul Gready and based at the Centre for Applied Human Rights at the University of York, published 'Guidelines for Universities Hosting Human Rights Defenders' in 2025. Universities, NGOs, donors and defenders wrote the guidelines together to guide universities in relocation efforts and to build an international network of support.
