Description

GRASP is an ideas festival and conference, that brings together sustainability, activism, science and art, to address the most important topics of our time. The theme in 2023 was Utopia.

My presentation was about the research and results from the project The Art of Engagement in relation to the potentials of social practice for cultural institutions to create social engagement. Afterwards I was joined by representatives from different art institutions in a moderated panel discussion about the art institution's role and responsibility for creating social engagement in communities. I was an Advisor to the research project which was led by Loraine Leeson of Middlesex University. Moderator: Matthias Hvass Borello; Panelists: Christian Skovbjerg Jensen, Director of Museet for Samtidskunst Cecilia Widenheim, Director of Tensta Konsthal.
