Meadows, Memories, and Missing Layers: Transdisciplinary Seagrass Mapping Towards Restorative Marine Spatial Planning is a project by University of Oxford, led by Joseph Boyle. Ragnhild Ljosland was commissioned by Boyle to plan and deliver four outreach sessions for the school and community in Sanday. Therse were titled 'The Sea & Me'. Workshop 1: Primary 1-3. Workshop 2: Primary 4-7. Workshop 3: Secondary 1-2. Workshop 4: Afternoon Club for senior islanders. Objectives:
• For participants to feel that they have a story to tell
• To reflect on “What does the sea mean to me?” & “What is important about the sea?”
• For participants to feel proud/happy that they can create a story/creative text
• Create texts of good quality
• Feed texts back to project
• Possibly encourage participants to submit texts to competition to win a prize
• Keep reflective log to send to Joe Boyle
