MASTS Marine Protected Areas Workshop 2012

Description

Aim of this workshop: -To discuss how the MASTS community can work on MPA developments given the support MASTS receives from SFC to enhance research excellence in the Universities -To come up with a strategy of MASTS community engagement with Government, agencies and NGOs to mutually benefit MPA developments driven by the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 -Hear from Government and Agencies (SNH, JNCC, etc) how the MPA Network developments are progressing (recent outcomes of other stakeholder workshops taking place, etc). -To provide recommendations to the MASTS Directorate and community on how MASTS can best further high-quality research into MPA issues and how best to engage with relevant stakeholders
