‘Culture Vultures’: Exploring the socio-cultural factors & approaches supporting vulture conservation in Nepal

Activity: Talk / Presentation / Podcast / WebinarInvited talk

Description

On 10th September 2025 we held the 5th SAVE online open day. This annual event, initiated in 2020, is a way for us to showcase SAVE partners’ vulture work from across South and Southeast Asia, to encourage sharing of information and deeper collaboration in our partnerships, and to connect with others working in the sector.

During the event we cover vulture conservation progress in the last year from the six main SAVE partner countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, India, Nepal and Pakistan). These important updates allow partners to share the priorities, progress, challenges and next steps of vulture conservation in their country with a wider audience. But the programme also includes snippets of news on a specific theme, which this year included a focus on NSAID availability, as well as news on vulture conservation from other parts of Asia, including from Kyrgyzstan, Bhutan and Saudi Arabia.
