BTG Workshop - Net-Zero

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventParticipation in workshop, seminar, course

Description

Research activity in these areas at the University of Strathclyde is substantial and University-wide, with a strong track record of public sector and industry engagement. With a view to stimulating activity around Net Zero and the Circular Economy and forming cross-disciplinary groups, this workshop will bring together researchers from all faculties to identify opportunities for collaborative research and knowledge exchange. The Bridging the Gap (BTG) initiative will provide funding for the most promising cross-disciplinary projects that result from this workshop. Funding for projects is available from the Strategic Themes and the EPSRC IAA, therefore, this opportunity is open to all disciplines. The deadline for proposals will be Monday 6th June at 12pm. The BTG initiative aims to support new, long-term collaborations across disciplines and across career stages. The fund will aim to alleviate the barriers to collaborative, inclusive impact and innovation projects, and stimulate innovative approaches to collaboration. The workshop will provide an overview of these priority areas and the funding opportunities available under the BTG mechanism. Participants will get the opportunity to briefly give an overview of their own current activities, ideas and aspirations for their research in this area. This will be followed by an opportunity to network with colleagues and to develop ideas for cross-disciplinary collaborations and research projects.
