Research Interests
Science and travel have been my passion ever since I was a child. Gaining a PhD in Earth Sciences, along with my early career as a Field Geologist, fulfilled my appetite for various STEM subjects and their application to the world we live in. And it did bring me much more than that, it took me around the world, engaging with different cultures, people with different background and stories. I have worked in various EU countries, Nicaragua, Peru, Chile and East Greenland.
After 10 years as a Geologist I decided to change career path to, first, allow me and my family to live in one of the most beautiful place on Earth, the Highlands of Scotland. And secondly, to share my journey with the future generation by supporting them and inspiring them about scientific careers which brings much more than just a career in Science.
Audrey is now our Associate Dean for UHI Land and marine sciences. Audrey's background is in Geology, having worked for 6 years at CASP, in Cambridge, as a field geologist and as Project leader of the East Greenland Project. During that time Audrey has worked with numerous universities and a range of stakeholders from the oil & gas industry. She has a BSc (Hons) in Earth Sciences from the Université Blaise Pascal, Clermont Ferrand (France) and a PhD in Geosciences from the Georg-August Universität, Göttingen (Germany).
