تفاصيل المشروع
Description of project aims
This project evaluates FilaChar, an innovative biochar produced from wastewater treatment residues, as a sustainable alternative to activated carbon for micropollutant removal. Pilot-scale trials using real wastewater will assess its treatment performance and scalability. The project combines waste valorisation, water purification and carbon reduction, supporting a circular, lower-cost approach to advanced wastewater treatment in Scotland and beyond.
