Research Expertise
I am an environmental-chemical engineer with a board range of interdisciplinary research interest, but focus on (a) adsorption technology in water and wastewater treatment for removal of emerging contaminants (metals/metalloids and pharmaceuticals), (b) bioresource and phosphorous recovery from wastewater, (b) synthesis, functionalisation and characterisation of biochars from different feedstocks (‘circular economy’), (c) implementation of lab-scale water treatment technologies in industry (scale-up and pilot testing).
