Research Interests

Gareth's research attempts to investigate how personal meaning and hauntology impact the process of composing electronic music. This autoethnographic method illustrates how postmodernist thought may influence creative practice. 
 
As a professional practitioner, Gareth has worked in the music industry since the mid 2000's in a variety of capacities, including as a record label owner, DJ, live electronic music performer and event organiser. He has shown the benefits of working together, exchanging information, and discovering fresh talent.
 
In addition to research interests and industry involvement, as an educator of Music Business, Creative Practice, and Music Production, Gareth has always been keen to explore innovation and develop new opportunities for students to work in the music industry.
